About the IVRPA

International VR Photography Association

The IVRPA (formerly the IQTVRA) is an international association of professionals who create and produce interactive, immersive images. Our Members include professional photographers, multimedia and web developers, artists, enthusiasts, students, and companies and individuals that support our technology with software and hardware.

Mission Statement

To promote and support the uses of image based VR and related technologies worldwide through education, community forums, networking opportunities, manufacturer alliances, marketing assistance, and technical support of our Member's efforts.

History

The IVRPA was founded originally as the IQTVRA, the International QuickTimeVR Association. The association was incorporated in the state of California on december 7th, 1998. In december 2004, the association changed their name to IVRPA to reflect our broadening technological field of immersive interactive imaging.

Website

In juli 2006, the IVRPA launched its new community website. This website is the hub of the IVRPA community, and showcases work of its members to the audience at large. The website is built on the open source Drupal platform, and the galleries are powered by a modified Lightbox2.
