2 VR Projects win 2006-07 New York State Associated Press Association Contest
Submitted by James Neiss on Wed, 2007-08-08 10:42.Two projects for my newspaper that featured VR's on our websites were awarded first and second place for "online contet" in the 2006-07 New York State Associated Press writing contest.
These projects are a blend of VR's, photography and audio that tell a story about the subjects. They are a companion to a printed picture page in our newspapers.

VR Newspaper Feature
Submitted by James Neiss on Sun, 2007-04-15 12:44.My day job is Chief Photographer with the Greater Niagara Newspaper chain in western New York and I was pleased to find a way to incorporate VR's into a Sunday Feature page project. We have an artist colony that took over an abandoned high school where I made panoramic portraits of several tenants that showed off their spaces. We printed the portraits in the paper and I made a companion website with VR's and audio commentary.
