I would love to show you what i was doing last week
http://www.newworlddesigns.co.uk/portfolio/tate-britain-bullet-time-exhi...
Please let me know your opinions, as its a very exiting project for me, and I'm looking for any ideas for samples of how this equipment can be used, how ever strange or wacky the ideas may be.
All the best
Ian

Hi Tom
Yerp that was my barman with the last set of cameras which were samsung DSLRs, which didn't work so had to then buy a set of Canon 450D cameras, its been an expensive project :(
I was going to post on here that we were going to be at the Tate, but only remembered as i was setting up the equipment in there!!!
The Ikea project was what inspired me in the first place

I loved the idea and spent many months researching it. But found from a post in this forum that actually it is a big lie, they used one camera on a rail, and all the actors were just standing very still, and the spilt glass was actually just plastic resin!!!
Just spoilt it for you didn't i lol.
Since then i have made a promise to myself never to touch my images with 3D, as it ruins the effect that im trying to achieve. I spent a lot of time working in 3D many years ago but just couldnt find the commercial sides of it, so had to leave that alone.

I set all the bullet time equipment up a few days back and spent a few hours trying to capture a drop of water drop dropping into a glass of water.
I havent really gone through all the pictures yet, but i will try over the weekend.
Many thanks for the kind comments mate
Ian

Re: Photography exhibition in the Tate Britain Gallery (London)
hi Ian,
Saw this site mentioned in my computer magazine, http://www.barcinski-jeanjean.com that makes good use of object/people rotation on the main menu page, using Papervision 3D.
Have you tried papervision 3D yet ? would be cool, i think .... :)
best wishes,
tom

WOOOH ! thats really impressive, well done Ian !
Will try and think of some cool wacky things for you to shoot, maybe flowers ? I think stuff with water would be very interesting, a spilt glass, now ikea advert rings a bell. Also was it you who did that barman with the spinning bottle some time ago ?
Anyway congratulations :) wish i had known it was on... Keep up the good work !
