Robert Thien Inc. - VRtour site for Hedgewood Homes

http://vrtour.robertthien.com/Hedgewood/MenuVRSite/index.html

This is a VRtour put together of Hedgewood Homes in Atlanta, Georgia. We worked on these over the past couple of years. Each VR is a mix of natural and artificial lighting.

Nice images, but the webpage design doesn't really show the homes very well

Take a look at this link where I helped the webmaster design a home tour that has still photos and the virtual images are navigated from a floorplan of the home

I like the floor plan idea. It would be great to use it in the same window. Problem is getting the client to see the value of a floor plan as navigation. I experimented with this. http://vrtour.robertthien.com/RTinc/Seaside_VrSite/index.html

I've been an advocate for floorplan navigation for a while.

Expecially after a potential customer commented that using a floorplan with the virtual images was like combining Right and Left Brain approaches into one.

And including still photos onto the page gives a more complete "tour" of the house, using the stills to show rooms that don't justify a virtual image. With the most important still photo being s front view of the house

I've even discussed making still photo pop-ups from the floorplan with the webmaster, but we were afraid the floorplan would become too cluttered.

The only problem with placing the flooplan and the virtual image on the same page is they fight for space. So I've been suggesting the pop-ups from a bigger floorplan. Another webmaster and I came up with a way to offer both a "standard size" and a "super-size" virtual image pop-up that doesn't clutter up the flooplan too much.

They had produced a more elaborate floorplan that showed off the materials used in a condo like the wood floors, shiney granite countertops, stainless steel range and hood, so they wanted the floorplan to be a lot bigger than would be possible putting the virtual image and floorplan side-by-side.

Take care
