"My iTunes"... ?
Another Apple thingy we can't live without... :-)
Checking one's iTunes preferences lately, in the iPhone world, turns up interesting things... shopping on iTunes has become more fun, and you can do more with it outside of spending your hard-earned cash (get others to spend their hard-earned cash? :-P).
OK, so the below code wouldn't show up nicely in my blog here, (because Aldo makes the IVRPA site safe for all! :-))... but I find it interesting (not necessarily surprising, but interesting) that 1) Apple is using Flash to create the "My itunes" experience, and 2) Apple's auto-generated code is incomplete... that is, there is no "object" element in what they provide you as code to put in your own HTML.
To wit:
<embed name="my_itunes" align="top" width="435" scale="noscale" height="330" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" salign="lt" class="widget" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" quality="high" menu="false" src="http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/flash/myitunes/myitunes.swf?feed=WebObjects%2FMZStoreServices.woa%2Fws%2FRSS%2Fmymostpurchasedartists%2Fartworkheight%3D53%2Fhtml%3Dfalse%2Fsf%3D143441%2Fuserid%3D38552008%2Fxml%3Fv0%3D7723&feedType=mostpurchased&cssPath=http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/flash/myitunes/styles/black.css&local=143441" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed>
Maybe it doesn't matter anymore, what with JavaScript embedding being the norm?
At any rate, see the results of the above code at http://www.cheathamlane.netindex.php?section=technotes (scroll to bottom of page). If anything, I suggest "Throwing Muses", "Pentangle", or "Detroit Cobras". :-)
