Here is an interesting post from Adobe evangelist Serge Jespers, regarding the potential removal ("photoshopping") of a Belgian landmark from photos in an exhibition.

Also, if you follow through the comments, you'll see a (not surprising, I suppose) link to a NYT article regarding photography and other imagery of the Lone Cypress (which is practically a California landmark), use of which is being disputed by the tree's owner: Pebble Beach Company.
