Photoshop Action to create Spi-V strips
Just thought I'd post this action I made to create the cube-strip for Spi'V from cube faces.
I started with Equirectangular images, or in some cases QTVR files and batch converted to cube faces with CubicConverter.
For ths action to work you will need to export using the numbered approach, vs. Front, Back etc. So you should have files that end with 1,2,3,4,5,6.
Then just Select open them all at same time in photoshop. The need to be organized with highest number windows toward the front. So "6" is the front docuemnt, and "1" is at the back. If I select the files in finder on mac and open them, this is the default odering in Photoshop CS2. I don't know if it works off of file name or save date?
Once they are open just run this action and your strip is ready. Once you are familar with this you can add to the action. For example on mine I have it set to resize the image and then to save and close it to a new directory.
Next step for me is to find a way to use automator to batch a bunch of these so I don't have to do for each one. Of coruse I would hope soon that CubicConnector woudl giev this as an additional export option. I assume that has been suggested to them.
At any rate, here is link to the action.

Stitcher 5.5
And then ofcourse, there's Realviz' Stitcher 5.5 with SPi-V support.
Has anyone seen that yet? They've done the SPi-V stuff all on their own, and I'm dieing to see it...
Thanks anyway for posting the action.
I'll checkout Realviz SPi-V
Also, I just got the 5.5U upgrade. I'll try it test it out this week and post results.
Hoyle. Thanks for the info about Pano2QTVR as well.

Re: Spi-V Action
David,
I know you're a Mac guy, but thought I'd let you know that Pano2QTVR has a SPI-V export option in case you'd like to use it with your new Intel Mac and Virtual Windows... :^)
