Can't edit a post

I was editing a post I had just made, fixing my spelling and bad grammer, and I got kicked out of the "edit."
Now "edit" is not offered below the post I made.
Did you change something?

Some one did reply right after I posted and before I cleaned up my spelling & grammer

Once someone makes a reply to your reply to a post, you can no longer edit your reply.
It's been that way 'forever'.
