firefox 3
Is anyone having problems with the side bar menu of this site when using firefox 3 at full screen, or is it my settings somewhere? At full screen the menu appears in the middle of the page obscuring anything underneath.
Re: firefox 3
Thanks for your constructive criticism
Re: firefox 3
I didn't mean to be offending, just wanted to report fact I have same issue here with Firefox 3 on my Mac Pro running Leopard. It happens whatever resolution is used and size of my firefox window, and it's really annoying :(
Thanks

Re: firefox 3
It's not happening for me on Firefox 3 on windows. What screen resolution are you using?
Re: firefox 3
I'm on a mac powerbook G4 screen 1280x854.
Worked fine in Firefox 2.
As usual I update something and something else stops working properly!
Will get to the bottom of it somehow.......
Re: firefox 3
Ok, so it is starting to look like a Mac-thing.
By 'fullscreen', do you mean pressing F11 ('kiosk fullscreen'), or just maximising the window? Does it start happening at a certain resolution, or is it happening at basically any resolution?
Re: firefox 3
At all resolutions. When the page is stretched to beyond approx 2/3rds screen width side navigation menu goes central.
Re: firefox 3
For some reason one previous post was flagged as spam?
It happens on all resolutions and is when the width of the window is dragged to approximately 2/3rds screen width (or further).
Re: firefox 3
Yeah, that happens sometimes. I have unflagged the comment, as it was not spam. There's only one thing worse on the internet than spam, and that is spam filters :-(. From now on, it should no longer happen to logged in members.
Re: firefox 3
Same thing happens here. The navigation bar is in the middle of the screen. Mac OS X 10.5 + Firefox 3.0.1, Mac Book Pro, screen size 1440 x 900.
Re: firefox 3
I can confirm this is happening on Firefox 3 on OSX, but not on Firefox 3 on Windows.
FF3/OSX seems to want to render my left column 383 pixel to the right of all other browsers. Very odd. Looking into a solution.
Re: firefox 3
I think I have fixed the issue, at least on the main site. Can y'all confirm this, after clearing your cache? If it fixes the issue here, I will propagate the fix to the other IVRPA sites.
The left column was getting bumped by the site menu bar (post on this site... etc). Fixed it by specifying a height for the individual menubar divs. Still odd that it only happened on OSX, not Windows. I thought they ran off the same codebase?
Re: firefox 3
Fixed for me here :) really great, thanks alot :D
Re: firefox 3
Well done......fixed here too.

Re: firefox 3
The development name for Mozilla Firefox 3.0 was Gran Paradiso."Gran Paradiso", like other Firefox development names, is the name of an actual place; in this case the seventh-highest mountain in the Graian Alps.Mozilla Firefox 3 is a version of Mozilla Firefox, a web browser released on June 17,2008 by the Mozilla Corporation.Firefox 3 uses version 1.9 of the Gecko layout engine for displaying web pages. The new version fixes many bugs , improves standard compliance, and implements new web APIs compared to Firefox 2.0. Other new features include a redesigned download manager, a new "Places" system for storing bookmarks and history, and separate themes for different operating systems. The precursory releases of upcoming Firefox releases are codenamed "Minefield", as this is the name of the trunk builds. Development of Firefox after version 3.0 is split over two milestones: version 3.1 and version 4.0. Firefox 3.0, formerly in the development stage, was released to the general public on June 17, 2008.

Re: firefox 3
Yep exactly same problem here with Firefox 3 on Mac, that's while I don't go on IVRPA site often as it's unusable in that way :(
