Did the sun go behind clouds on one or more of the images, i have had similar "Accidents" in the same way.
I love panorama's that are a little different though. Panos mess your with your brain enough, but to add something else is great.

I shot this when the sun was behind the clouds. It was not a great day so I had to mix in several skys over time.

Odd lighting
There's something in the lighting and composition that gives this pano an odd, montage look. I like it!
