Photokina 2006 Video on YouTube
Submitted by Michael Quan on Fri, 2007-03-16 10:27.It's always important to make video of you and your friends in action. Here's a short clip of IVRPA members at Photokina (Octber 2006)
photographing the exhibits (and models), and explaining VR photography. Thanks to Christian Fessel for his post processing.

Alternate viewers on photokina.ivrpa.org
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Wed, 2006-10-11 10:43.Not many will have noticed, but there is support for alternate viewers on the photokina site.
Support for DevalVR has been there during the last days of 'kina, but due to time limitations I added SPi-V support only yesterday. I also meant to add PTViewer as an option, but at this time that has not yet been enabled due to the infamous memory limitations; PTViewer just won't load the 5000x2500 pixel equirectangulars.
Photokina 2006 panorama project success
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Tue, 2006-10-03 08:33.The Photokina 2006 panorama blog has thusfar gathered 51 fullscreen panoramas of the 7 days of Photokina. We expect the number to grow during the following days as some of us stitch some of the remaining images. The project was highlighted by Rob Galbraith, the lomography blog, macnn.com and macuser.com, as well as a number of camera enthusiast forums. As a result of many sites linking to us, and because of the search engine friendliness of Drupal, as of the time of writing we're on the second page of results Googling for 'Photokina 2006'. Not bad at all.
Hard at work on a Photokina subsite
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Thu, 2006-09-21 12:15.We're currently hard at work preparing for the Photokina. Part of the deal we made to get free(!) booth space from the Photokina organisers was to have (near-)live, panoramic coverage of the major events and booths on the fair.
Introducing photokina.ivrpa.org
Hans has agreed to feature panoramas on panoramas.dk, but we need a place to post and host the panoramas easily. The current site could ofcourse provide that space, but adding special projects like that inside the current site would result in a lot of added 'weight'. So instead, I am now working on a subsite:
Photokina
Submitted by Michael Quan on Sun, 2006-08-06 15:14.We have only preliminary details at this time, but IVRPA will be there at Photokina, with a very large exhibition space, and we plan to offer daily 360VR pano coverage of the
event produced by members of the IVRPA. We are going to bring Photokina, the biggest event in photo and digital imaging to the world via our 360 panos!
