WHTour.org is an independent non-profit organization documenting the World Heritage List in panographies - 360-degree imaging. This project is slowly growing since July 2001 and will need years to complete. This is for those who can't travel for whatever reason and also a legacy to future generations : soon documentation and reproduction will be the only ways to meet, enjoy and share scores of past glories that are slowly disappearing because of [i] climate change and natural disasters ; [ii] illegal trade (logging, looting, poaching) ; [iii] mass tourism and travel industrialization ; [iv] mismanagement (incompetence, wrong policies, lack of funds) ; [v] modernity (fast development, leaving or growing populations) ; [vi] political instability, conflict and war ; [vii] pollution.
